Clark Howard

Clark Howard is consumer advisor, & talk radio host (site). Apparently from quickly looking at the site, you can freely download the show as mp3 podcasts as well. I barely know Howard's work, I just caught a few minutes on the car radio. Howard seems very insightful on many consumer topics.

Of course, we don't get any education on house mortgages, insurance, etc. Also, many of these companies are buying off politicians, so that they don't adequately regulate them. Organizations like Clark Howard or Consumer Reports are the only voices with good advice for the consumer.

FL State Rep Bob Allen = epic self-etherer

Bob Allen, a FL State house representative, & FL chair of John McCain's presidential campaign, did the following. Truth is stranger than fiction.

1 Allen solicited to fellate man in a Florida park public restroom, AND pay him $20. Where do I start with Allen's self-etherings?!

1a Allen's hypocrisy of being a closeted self-hating gay, despite as a lawmaker supporting legislation which is against gay rights. I'm sure Allen's wife is furious to learn she might have a risk of an STD from Allen's "down low" gay activities.

1b asking a random dude in a restroom for a sex act. WTF I believe there may be some bars or other establishments that might be better for that activity, than a public restroom.

1c paying someone to fellate THEM. It never occurred to me someone would pay for oral sex, unless they were the RECIPIENT.

As if that wasn't sufficient self-etherings, it gets worse. The dude in the park bathroom was an black man & undercover police officer. So Allen was arrested for prostitution.

2 Allen's justification & official explanation = Allen said he "was afraid that there was several brolic/tough black dudes in the park" & "he was about to be a statistic", meaning a victim of crime.
So any brolic black dude is automatically a criminal who will assault/rob/kill you? Damn, Allen is not only a hypocrite closeted self-hating gay, Allen also is KKKramer-style extreme RACIST!

Another point, it's hilarious how H Clinton & her stans are saying she has the most experience. Oh really, being a Senator for 6 years, & having NO executive experience? Maybe a huge organization like SAP or Oracle should consider me to be their CEO, because I'm like H Clinton, I have no experience being the leader of a huge organization.

Oh yeah H Clinton's amazing experience easily sons the foreign & domestic experience of a guy that's since 1982 has been Governor of a border state, Sec of Energy, Ambassador to the UN, Nobel Prize winner, & House of Representatives member (Bill Richardson). Sen. Chris Dodd murks Bill O'Reilly

I heard an audiotape for a few hours of a O'Reilly book a while ago. It wasn't by choice, I was in a roadtrip with some friends. O'Reilly actually had some good points & examples on how no one except your family (not even then at times) is looking out for your best interests. Of course, this is also common sense knowledge, probably referenced in ancient Greek documents, but that's besides the point.

Although O'Reilly made some good points, the dude is a hypocrite in that he's NOT looking out for the public's interest, in fact he's as bad as nearly anyone in the media.

O'Reilly's latest crusade is against democratic/progressive politics blog Daily Kos. This blog, like many blogs, allows comments.

O'Reilly is stating
1 some specific examples of shocking statements or photos made by commenters
2 saying that the Daily Kos is a hate site

This is so intellectually dishonest, that I now reject O'Reilly fully & will assume he's an evil man, propagandist, trying to trick people, not help them. O'Reilly is extremely insulting to his audience for making a statement, that anyone familiar with the blog comments knows is bogus.

The closest analogy I can think of, is that if a newspaper like the Mpls Star Tribune was a "hate site", if a KKKer wrote a letter to editor advocating the murder of Blacks.

I also heard on The Young Turks, that O'Reilly's audience has an average age of 71. It's quite possible that his audience is not internet-savvy enough to understand O'Reilly's trick about equating random anonymous commenters with actual blog owners/writers.

There is 1 extremely ironic & hypocritical moment, where O'Reilly calls Dodd a "propagandist"! Ha! Holy hypocrisy & douchebaggery!

Dodd ethers O'Reilly when citing an Indiana university study saying that O'Reilly makes derogatory comments on individuals every 7 seconds.

I now put O'Reilly as the 3rd worst American media right-wingnut douchebags behind mAnn Coulter & Michael Weiner "Savage". O'Reilly isn't advocating genocide of arabs & muslims like these Top2 wingnuts are, so he's not quite as horrible as them.

Scott Horton - libertarian with good podcast interviews

I stumbled upon this guy Scott Horton. I listened to a few mp3 podcast interviews he has, which you can cop here. Horton is 31 yr old libertarian in Austin, TX, where he has a local radio show. Horton has good interviews with experts in different fields. Horton's interviewees give a perspective you don't hear in the MSM. I'm not a libertarian, but I enjoyed the mp3s I listened to. Horton will blast both the ReThugs & the Dems for their failures, which is nice. The only downside to Horton, is that dude is a Ron Paul-stan. I don't have any beef with Paul per se, but Horton's stannery is excessive, to the point where he'll throw in a Paul 08 non-sequitir every 20 minutes or so. But I can live with this stannery, since his interviewees are insightful. Give Horton a listen.
