What happened with The Young Turks?
FYI, check this disturbing news at TYT website. Some commenters/TYT stans are saying that TYT didn't have their Thurday or Friday show (instead they had re-runs). They're also saying that their's some evidence that TYT is no longer on Air America.
What's odd is that the TYTers including Cenk have not commented on the issue. It seems if there were a simple reason, Cenk would drop a comment on this post clarifying what happened.
I hope they return soon, under whatever company. Cenk is the Roger Federer of political talk show hosts. Cenk needs to keep opening up cans of ether [||] on these criminal ReThuglicans & do-nothing lame Democrats.

Michael Weiner "Savage" = self-hating gay
Watch this clip, Cenk explains the hateful craziness of Michael Weiner "Savage".
Savage has a 1983 book, where the main "character" matches his real-life profile almost exactly. The character is "tormented" about "fantasies with men". Also, the character is "tormented with violent visions of stabbing people, including children".
This douche Weiner is prolly clinically insane. No surprise that he advocates crazy things like a genocide of 100 Million Muslims.
Do You Know Why Michael Savage is So Crazy? Find Out Why?
Cenk article on same topic.

Hypocritical self-hating gay ReThuglican #4080 = Sen. Lary Craig
Damn, it seems that at least once per month, another hypocritical, closeted, self-hating, gay republican gets busted for gay prostitution.
Sen. Larry Craig from Idaho, propositioned an undercover policeman for sex, in the frickin MSP AIRPORT of all places! Geez, not only is Craig hypocrite who legislates against civil rights for gays while he is himself gay. In addition add dee dee dee to this douchebag Craig. The MSP airport is a very public building, & there are many news-junkies walking through the airport who might recognize who Craig is. At least that Bob Allen clown chose a more secluded generic public park restroom.
Expect the lame MSM to ignore the epic hypocrisy here. Thankfully we have some great bloggers to provide insight for us.
Truth Hunter has some interesting Craig quotes here
Cenk ethers Craig here.
No Larry Craig, eg [||], on this entire post.

John McLaughlin
John McLaughlin is a news commentator/pundit.
I recall back in high school occasionally watching his show on PBS (public TV). In political science class, the teacher Detviler had a weekly current events contest, where the winning 4-person team got extra credit points. My team had my homie Chad, who was the 17-yr old Michael Jordan/Roger Federer of news & current events. But I was the Scottie Pippen of the squad, & watching McLaughlin helped us team to put 1990s Chicago Bulls-style domination on the other teams. Needless to say, our whole squad got A+s in that class.
Out of the blue, I remembered McLaughlin, & wondered if he was still providing his weekly show. To my joy [||], not only is McLaughlin still leading his weekly show, he's been doing it since 1982! Even better, now you don't have to catch it on TV, you can legally & freely download the shows from his podcast archives, either a video of the show, or just mp3 audio.
I nominate McLaughlin to the hyper HOF. McLaughlin has a unique trademark steez of introducing an issue by yelling out "Issue Number X". If 1 of his 4 other commentators is making a point he disagrees with, he yells out "Wrong" & then makes his point. McLaughlin ends the show with a trademark spastic annoying "bye bye".
Along with Dick Vitale, McLaughlin is holding down the Spastic Senior Citizen Crew (SSCC) of the hyper HOF. One great admirable trait of the SSCC, is that even though they easily have enough money to comfortably retire, & statistically they might only have a few years left to live, they LOVE their job so much, they'd rather keep working. That passion for their work is so refreshing to see, since normally that type of passion is limited to naive young folks before their spirit gets beaten down by office politics & other workplace ills.
McLaughlin's show is innovative & unique, in that he has
1 diversity in his pundits' politics, from the left-wing Eleanor Clift to the right-wing paleoconservative Pat Buchanan.
2 similar to Faux Noise, the commentators are passionate, spastic, & sometimes yell over each other.
3 UNLIKE Faux Noise, the commentators actually have some logical or insightful comments.
4 UNLIKE Faux Noise, the commentators have a friendly working relationship, even if they may disagree on ideology & politics.
It's basically a spastic debating society, with Prof. McLaughlin steering the discussion ala Socrates.
I see from Wiki that McLaughlin has invited Maria Bartiromo as a guest panelist, so it seems that McLaughlin is not opposed to inviting 1960s-born or younger folks as panelists. I would love to see TYT's Cenk Uyger or Wes Clark Jr on the show, I think that would be both insightful & entertaining.
Anyways, give old man McLaughlin a chance & download a recent show. You'll probably learn something & will enjoy it [||].

Rush Limbaugh's racist statement on Darfur
There's a trend of douchebag right wingnut talking heads, not satisfied with being mere douchebags, & want to shred their humanity & lower themselves to the racist/demagogue level of mAnn Coulter & Michael Weiner "Savage".
O'Reilly has been getting into that level recently.
Now we see that drug addict Rush Limbaugh is going there also, with ranting that
"the only reason Democrats want to intervene in Darfur/Sudan, is to win black American votes in the next election"
Oh, it has nothing to do with genocide?
The Young Turks surgically intellectually ether's Limbaugh's flimsy racist argument on many levels. The best comes from TYT's black director, Jayar Jackson who notes
"black Americans couldn't get the US Fed Gov to enter New Orleans, how are they gonna get them to enter Darfur".

Uyger ethers the BCU - H Clinton & Obama
Cenk Uyger from The Young Turks examines H Clinton & Obama's lame record as Senators in not fighting W Bush's Constitution-defying bills.
Too bad Feingold didn't run.
Another point, it's hilarious how H Clinton & her stans are saying she has the most experience. Oh really, being a Senator for 6 years, & having NO executive experience? Maybe a huge organization like SAP or Oracle should consider me to be their CEO, because I'm like H Clinton, I have no experience being the leader of a huge organization.
Oh yeah H Clinton's amazing experience easily sons the foreign & domestic experience of a guy that's since 1982 has been Governor of a border state, Sec of Energy, Ambassador to the UN, Nobel Prize winner, & House of Representatives member (Bill Richardson). You can't be serious (c) John McEnroe. Barbaric! (c) Sen Byrd.

Wes Clark Jr on the Young Turks
IMHO The Young Turks are the best politics & news talk radio show, perhaps tied with Thom Hartmann.
The last few days the excellent Cenk Uyger along with the lame, stuttering Ben Mankiewicz are on vacation. Uyger is so good that he makes the lame Mankiewicz tolerable.
However TYT's B team is as good or better than the actual A team, as impossible as it seems!
Wes Clark Jr, the son of 2004 Pres candidate & Army general Wes Clark, is an EXCELLENT politics/news talk radio host. Clark is very insightful on both current events & history. Clark is a realist, & is not partisan. Although he is more Democratic politically, he will Schiavo any politician including Democrats. I like his quote "all you can measure a politician by is their actions, not what they say". Clark really seems to have a long-term view on issues as well. Clark seems to be as wise as a 60-year old, even though he's only approx 37 yo.
The other cohost on the B team, Michael Shure, is also good. Shure is very knowledgeable about politics, & could prolly name you the entire US Sen & House members from memory.
Basically Clark is slightly better than the excellent Uyger, & Shure is way better than Mankiewicz.
Honestly I wish Uyger would fire Mankiewicz & hire Clark, or even Shure, to replace him.
Anyways, TYT has posted some Clark/Shure shows on their website, as pure mp3s without commercials. Download a segment & check Clark, dude is the truth & a stand-up individual.

a Schiavoing of right-wingnut radio
Ben from The Young Turks, just from listening to AM radio in the ATL for 1 day, finds several outrageous statements from Neal Boortz & Michael Savage, including these douches using the VA Tech massacre for their own right-wingnut hack purposes.

Does the Second Amendment Protect Shoulder Fired Missiles?
The extremists on both sides of the gun issue, the NRA "bazookas for everyone" vs "ban all guns" are using the VA Tech massacre to battle each other
Cenk from The Young Turks has an interesting moderate opinion on this.
Quote "A perfectly sane individual isn't going to kill those kids even if you gave them a thousand guns. And a mentally-ill guy isn't going to be able to kill 32 people with a bow and arrow"
True.

Cenk from The Young Turks has an interesting article defending free speech, and showing that other talking heads like mAnn Coulter are 1000X worse than Don Imus.
Imus is a douche, but shouldn't have gotten fired

Newt GringoGrich
Newt Gingrich says bilingual education is bad because "Spanish is the language of the ghetto"
He completes his own self-ethering by going on youtube & apologizing in Spanish, in the most gringo-fied accent ever.
